We are really delighted to announce that we have a new Operations Manager in situ at Watatunga!  Molly has recently joined us from West Midland Safari Park and is now heading up our animal collection and our tour team here at Watatunga.

Molly has always been very passionate about deer & antelope and believes that if people understood how fascinating and complex they are, they would be just as captivated by them as she is.

She is a strong advocate of keeping animals in complex environments that mirror their wild habitats and always giving animals a choice and so is delighted by the potential of the mixed habitat we have here at Watatunga.Molly has worked in multiple zoological collections with a wide range of different species. She is the animal behaviour & training liaison for the BIAZA Mammal Working Group & BIAZA Training Working Group and she has a Bachelor’s degree in Zoo Biology.

She’s currently in her last year of studying a Master’s degree in Animal Nutrition and we’re excited to start achieving some concrete research with some of the species here onsite.

As reserve operations manager, she is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the animal collection, managing the staff & visitor experiences & implementing future strategic plans for the development of Watatunga.

We are beyond thrilled to have her with us and if you’re lucky, you’ll find her guiding one of your midweek tours, so do be sure to say hello!
