Watatunga Safari Trailer Adventures

Experience an unforgettable day out in Norfolk at Watatunga, exploring the safari park in our state-of-the-art open-sided safari trailer, as part of a group tour.

Our safari trailer was designed specially by Watatunga’s co-founder Ed Pope, as an alternative way to explore the wildlife park. Whereas the buggy tours are self-drive, Ed purpose-built the safari trailers for those who prefer to sit back, relax and be chauffeured by one of our tour guides. A safari trailer tour is ideal for those on wildlife family days out or for wheelchair users to enjoy accessible experiences. With roll up sides, the safari trailer allows for great views of the animals and surroundings, and is also wheelchair accessible upon request.

The safari trailer is towed by an electric buggy to ensure that your experience of the reserve is as relaxing as possible and our animals are undisturbed. Accompanied by an expert Watatunga guide, excitingly every tour of Watatunga is different as the animals behaviour is influenced by the time of the day, the weather conditions and the seasons.

Whereas Buggy Tours are operated on a timetable, trailer tours are available twice per week throughout the school holidays, and intermittently throughout the rest of tour season, that runs from easter to the end of October. Please check our booking system below for availability.

Is there a step up that will allow me to get into the trailer easily?

Yes we have two different heights of steps that allow you easy access into the trailer.

Is the trailer covered?

Yes it is but the sides are open which is why we advise to dress for all weather conditions.
