Wild Christmas Wreath Workshop!
On Monday 5th December, we are delighted to be hosting Katie Haydn-Slater of Wild Oak Workshops for a fabulous Christmas Wreath Making Class.
Although the animals on the reserve will be resting during their Winter quiet time, this exciting and creative class will see us weaving and entwining bundles of berried ivy and spruce all gathered from the wild places on the Reserve. Pine cones will also be harvested and dried with a flurry of Guinea Fowl feathers to add to your wreath from the beautiful birds that graze and call Watatunga their home.
Katie will also bring dried orange, lime and apple slices, cinnamon sticks, moss and teasels to adorn your wreath. You truly will be taking home a natural piece of Watagunga Wildlife magic.
With bundles of ribbons, raffia or twine to choose how you wish to hang your beautiful Wreath on your front door. Should you wish, as an optional extra, Katie will show you how to carefully entwine fairy lights* (battery operated) to your wreath so your wreath can be admired all through those dark wintery evenings.
A dusting of snow and extra sparkles can add a gorgeous touch at the end of the creative session. Katie looks forward to sharing her love of nature and knowledge about this gentle season; and it goes without saying that warming mulled wine, locally made mince pies and tea or coffee will all be included in your ticket.

This magical experience includes a natural, living wreath to bring the Christmas spirit to your door with all seasonal supplies included. There will be mulled wine, warming refreshments and home made mince pies, plus Christmas nibbles!
Optional fairy lights are available for £5 extra on the day and places must be booked by 5pm on Monday 28th November 2022.
