Alternatively, for those who prefer an early rise, we’ve added a new Sunday morning trailer tour at 10:30 am, ensuring even more opportunities to experience Watatunga at its best. Weekend trailer tours remain a firm favourite, running every Saturday and Sunday, with extra availability on Tuesdays & Thursdays during school holidays to accommodate families looking for an unforgettable day out in Norfolk.
Calling all Widlife Photographers and Crafters
Photography enthusiasts will be thrilled by our seasonal tutored photography tours and bi-monthly Sunday afternoon guided sessions. These experiences, set against the stunning backdrop of Watatunga’s wildlife, provide expert guidance and inspiration for photographers of all skill levels. Perhaps you’d like to swap the camera for a paintbrush? For those with an artistic flair, we’re offering bespoke art experiences upon request for a minimum of 2 people, allowing visitors to channel their creativity in the heart of nature. Craft lovers can also look forward to seasonal workshops that blend creativity with the natural world, look out for updates on these across our social media!
Something for Little Explorers and Nature Lovers alike
Younger adventurers can continue to enjoy our ever-popular Mini Wild Things sessions, fostering a love of wildlife through engaging, hands-on activities. We have so many exciting plans for upcoming sessions and each one is different from the last. However, we don’t just let the little ones enjoy all the fun! For the adults, dining takes centre stage with our pop-up dining events, where visitors can savour exceptional culinary creations in a one-of-a-kind environment. Alternatively, for those planning a special occasion or private gathering and are looking for a location in Norfolk, our reception building and stretch tent are now available for hire, providing a distinctive venue surrounded by the tranquillity of the wildlife reserve. Find out more on our Venue Hire page here.
Creating a Unique Education Environment
For schools, in the Norfolk area and beyond, we are offering exceptional educational experiences designed to inspire and engage young minds. We can accommodate up to 60 children per day, dividing them into two groups for alternating sessions to ensure engaging and enriching moments. Each group enjoys a captivating 1.5-hour tour of our breathtaking reserve, where they can discover the wonders of conservation and wildlife, followed by a 1.5-hour educational session. These sessions may include an interactive presentation with a lively Q&A segment, hands-on interaction with animal pelts and antlers in our stretch tent, a “Mini Wild Things” session tailored for children aged 7 and under, or creative activities such as colouring and making bird fat ball feeders.
