Summer Fun with Mini Wild Things at Watatunga

As the sun finally brightens and the days grow longer, we invite you and your little ones to embark on a summer adventure filled with learning and excitement.

Every Wednesday from 10:00am to 11:30am, including during the summer holidays, our Mini Wild Things sessions are the perfect way for your child to connect with nature.

Each session is designed for children up to age seven. From sensory exploration and creative arts to storytelling, children engage in activities that stimulate their imagination and encourage their natural curiosity. Each week, we explore different themes that are designed to ignite curiosity and encourage active learning. Whether it’s following the trail of the local wildlife, crafting from natural materials found within the reserve, or listening to stories under the shade of ancient trees, each activity is crafted to support developmental milestones in a joyful, outdoor setting.

Why Mini Wild Things?

  • Educational Fun: Activities are based on early years learning principles, helping children develop important skills through play.
  • Outdoor Learning: There’s no better classroom than nature! Each session allows children to learn about the environment and wildlife in a hands-on way.
  • Community and Connection: These sessions also provide a chance for parents to connect. While your children are engaged in supervised play, parents can enjoy a moment of relaxation with a complimentary beverage (for block bookings), meet other families, and become part of a community that values environmental education and outdoor activity.

Our sessions are led by experienced educators who are passionate about outdoor education and skilled in creating interactive experiences that cater to young children. This ensures a balance of learning, play, and safety, all within the extraordinary setting of Watatunga Wildlife Reserve.

Spaces in Mini Wild Things fill up quickly, as each session is designed to offer personal attention to a limited number of children. For more information and to secure a spot for your child, visit our Mini Wild Things page: https://watatunga.co.uk/miniwildthings/
