Spring Wreath Making – 24th March

by | Mar 6, 2023 | Watatunga Blog

This Spring we welcome back Katie from Wild Oak Workshops for a wreath making session inspired by the birds and their beautiful nests in the wild surroundings of Watatunga Nature Reserve.  Join her for a fun-filled daytime workshop to create beautiful Springtime Nests inspired by this wonderful season. You’ll leave with your own natural willow wreath ‘nest’ having learnt how to entwine silver birch, lichen covered twigs, moss, woodland treasures, blossoms, feathers – all gathered from west Norfolk’s abundant wild spaces.

Katie’s love of nature is infectious – she is brimming with passion for what she does and is full of fascinating tales about the traditional uses of many of the species you will work with.  Prepare to be inspired and uplifted by the magic that is happening all around us during the Spring Equinox. You can look forward to learning lots of ‘nesting’ fun facts to inspire you, fuelled by Easter cake and a Lindt chocolate bunny here or there too!

Each workshop is really initimate with a maximum of 10 people plus Katie, hosted in our cosy reception building which is  wheelchair accessible.

Please book direct with Katie here and if you have any special requirements or questions do contact her in advance at: create@wildoakworkshops.com
