Jubilee Celebrations and dipping a toe into Suffolk.
Like so many people across the country, we celebrated 70 years on the throne for Queen Elizabeth II. The bunting was up, delicious cakes were served and everyone was in fine spirits. At the village church there was a beautiful flower festival with even more cakes (which we had to sample!) As well as fish and chips from the village fryer, Rodwells. It was wonderful to see the whole village coming together across the weekend to mark such a proud historical achievement.
We also ran a fun quiz across our social media to which we received a wonderful response, and five lucky winners have now been awarded a buggy tour so congratulations to them and everyone who took part.
Julian headed south of the border at the end of May as we had a stall at The Suffolk Show. The Suffolk Show is one of the oldest county shows in the country and was returning after a 2-year absence. Promoting food, farming and the countryside, the show is a wonderful family day out with something for everyone and we were delighted to see so many people there and enjoying themselves.
It was so enjoyable to be able to meet so many different people and introduce them to what we are doing here at Watatunga, whilst also engaging with other stallholders from across the East who are doing amazing things for farming, food and conservation.
