Every day at Watatunga is different and there is no better way to experience the variety of the reserve than by booking one of our newly renovated holiday cottages. Guests staying in the Stable Cottage, Gate Lodge or Major’s Lodge are welcomed on a complimentary guided tour of the reserve the morning after their arrival to learn about the animals and their conservation stories. Unsupervised use of our electric buggies is exclusive to guests booked into our holiday accommodation to ensure that your experience of the reserve is unique and undisturbed, experiencing the magic of Watatunga’s wildlife at your leisure.
Major’s Lodge is a delightful single-story wooden safari lodge, newly renovated and overlooking the grassy expanses and lakes of Watatunga Wildlife Reserve. With a stunning vista over grazing herds of exotic deer and antelope species, Major’s Lodge is a fully accessible property that sleeps up to eight people. Guests can view many of Watatunga’s highly endangered deer and antelope stock from the comfort of their sitting-room.
The Stable Cottage is a five-star retreat set in the beautiful walled garden of the Watlington estate. Offering year round comfort the Stable Cottage is a spacious and relaxed home-from-home with open fire, a beautiful triple-aspect garden room, perfect for dining with friends, four bedrooms with a ground floor bedroom suite, each with bathroom facilities and luxury four poster in the master suite.
